Ash logs

Hi how long to season ash please..I cut it today and logged it

the rings were 8" thick and I've cut it quite chunky

if I cut it in smaller pieces would it dry out quicker I've chucked it 

in Ibc cages in a open barn....

Too late for this season IMO.   Ash is one of the driest woods when fresh cut but reluctant to give up its remaining moisture. Smaller the better for speeding up drying. Wood loses its moisture fastest through the end grain so cut short and chunky will dry faster than cut long and slender.
