Done any milling or is it all felling mainly.

Only a little bit with a chainsaw mill, only as a hobby. Have cut quite abit of Hardwood for milling though. Would be interested in having a go at it proper.

Got a few big lumps due in in the few weeks need milling and i have an m7 logosol here and band mill. What saws you guys carrying ??

We both run Husky 572's, 562's with some old stihl 038's and 044's as back up. 880 on the mill and a 4' bar for larger trees. Are they on the deck? Do you need them felling?

No i do not need them felling,I asked about what saws you carrying and will keep you as a saved contact on here, Very rare i need any help but up scaling a bit and your withing driving distance from me now i know your about looking for work. Sorry mate, I read into your post wrong. Thankyou for that, good to hear your scaling up. Hopefully can work together at some point. Were working towards buying a forwarder aswell in the future if that's any use to anyone? I'll keep my eyes posted on here for any works ?

Hi, I saw your add on arb talk jobs, I am a forestry contractor of 35 years experience , carry out mechanised harvesting and large diameter softwood/hardwood with purpose built skidder and large forwarder. I have an increasing workload of hand cut work paid fortnightly 90% of which is day rate, piece work could be available the rates for day rate can also be discussed so all are happy. I am based on the Hampshire/Berkshire boarder and travel 45 mile radius of Newbury and Reading , mainly contract on 2 large estates in the Newbury area, I do have hand cutters at the moment who have been with me sometime, but the work load is demanding more labour, if you are interested I could start you on your own job.  if you are working at present bare me in mind if you are looking for work in the future, my mobile is 07850 172 944 ask for Andy
