I've still got a lonely planet guide to the place, found it great for referances,what to do, where to go etc.

It's 10 years old like, but your welcome to it if you don't want to buy one, thoroughly recomend getting a copy though, you can make your trip exactly how you want it, whether you want a "love you long time" time or a bit o jungle trekking,it's got a load of info for you.Whatever floats your boat.

Got my tickets and have to wait in Dubai for about 7 hours on the way home. Is there any short trips of the city you can get which fetch you back in time for the flight? Wouldn't mind seeing the worlds tallest building

are you allowed outta the airport? whenever I have been in transit I have always had to remain in the terminal.

I went there 20 years ago, magical place. I wont recomend anywhere as i expect it has changed beyound all recognation. You will have a bast and a culture shock where ever you end up.

Just got back. Wow what a place... saw some awesome trees near Canchanaburi. The Hellfire Pass museum was a harrowing experience and the sea water was hot! The chicks were too
