tree removal - where to begin?!

thanks - i've got a 'tree surgeon' coming to look at it but my concerns with these surgeons is whether these are actually skilled arboribulturalists are just men with chainsaws. 

 

i must admit my tree knowledge is non-existent so the references above to the ivy clad sycamore - is this one of the other trees you can see lurking in this horrific mess that we have inherited?

Well surely you will have asked a reputable tree surgeon to come have a look?why did you not ask on here?not much good expressing your concerns here about "tree surgeons" being just"men with chainsaws"after all it is a forum for mostly arb related workers

i'd love to hear from the genuine tree surgeons hence asking on here who will know the science behind the concerns i have.

 

i have a recommended surgeon coming to view it in a couple of weeks which will give me further clarity however in my opinion the more advice the better!

So if you got a recommended surgeon coming to look, chances are you will get the right advice
