made some of these babies on saturday. Overall i made 12 splcies over a 6 hour period. every one was different and none were standard.

the last one is a strop that has been hung on the basket of a platform. (round my part the world is squint just like in my picture)

those tenex splices are a c**t to do the bury is way short. had some broken and mine outlasted the Samson instructions

I once spent a day splicing four xtc+ and four blaze to send off to Yale for certification/destruction testing.

 

Only problem was... the spec was wrong. They all went in the bin.

 

B*ll*cks.

eyes too small for their machines? they all look nice enough. no whipping though

They are bang on the spec I was issued.

 

However, what they wanted was 6ft length with a 6 inch eye at each end. They put each eye over a post and pull it til it fails.

 

As you can see, the old microtails were doomed from the outset...

 

yep no whipping, i'd just done the 'blister' stage of the final bury.
