Stihl long reach trimmer head

Looking for a new head for my Hl100 and can only find the new plastic looking ones (The gears have gone in my old one). Anyone have any experience of these?? Or is it worth trying to source a second hand older type?

If you mean the new ones like on the hl94 there absolutely briliant light weight good at cutting fairly big stuff and just perfect
