Im just in the process of deciding whether to go and get some custom fit with a filter in them, you can talk normaly, then when the fun starts, they shut down (alledgedly!)

 

Sounds like shooting ear defenders. I have a few electronic pairs. They work like normal ear defenders but have a microphone and speaker inside, means you can hear speech etc but when you shoot, the 'shock' waves turn them off. Very Very clever.I use them for using the nail gun too.

We had a new arb photo taken to go into the new books about the college we got all kitted up boots pants gloves even jackets and thoses husky helmets to go into the 2010 books or 2011 and health and saftey officer came in to our college a week ago and said the PPE was all up to date nothing wrong with it I even asked if the husky helmets where ok and he said Its up to the college on what they buy and what they feel safe for the students

 

So yes we need all the ppe up to date or there going to be an accident and some 1 is going to pay big time

 

I paid a £30 fee to go to the college £30 you wont buy a helmet for it but its a start to getting some new stuff

Very similar, but you get these custom fit at specsavers, tell them what yuo want them for and hey presto! around £130 though
