They are that colour because they are max I think. 

 

That said the ones which don’t say max have the same amount of glyphosate in them, both work well.

The Purple Ecoplug Max (Roundup Power Max) is produced for Network Rail so they are probably stolen.

The Blue Ecoplug (Roundup Max) was for Network Rail but has the old formulation of Roundup.

The white/orange Ecoplug Max (Roundup Power Max) is for use if you have PA6D.

I also got some off eBay they 50 for 25£ they was purple too, used them Saturday so time will tell.
