thanks for all your replys starts a lot better now its a 995 not a 990 my mate says hes never seen a 995 before are they rare

 

sorry no they are/were fairly common years ago both 2 &4 wd models still good tractors and parts are cheep to buy.

Yes a blowlamp will do the trick, open the ether plug in the inlet manifold and hang a blowlamp in the hole, will start easy, well my 990 started in -15 this winter like that without any fuss!

does any one wish to buy a 990 selectamatic ? great tractor with a loader 07967502218
