NPTC < ECC European Chainsaw Cert

I got a job offer in Germany, but the employer is insisting that all my NPTC tickets must be transferred over to the ECC? I've emailed both the NPTC and the ECC but they haven't got back to me.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Thanks!

where abouts in Germany?

I'm currently here near Hamburg and I didn't have to transfer anything

maybe it depends on the employer

It's near Tübingen. He does a bit of forestry work as well, so that's why he says I need the ECC.

I've hit a brick wall in trying to find any info on this. The ECC have not answered my calls, or replied to my emails.

I managed to find the NPTC on their website, as one of the organisations they work with. So I contacted the NPTC and the person on the phone hadn't a clue what it was.

What a mess.

Try speaking to the European Arboricultural Council EAC.  They might be able to help.

different country I know, but in Norway most places want European Treeworker Certificate.  Even though it isn’t really a patch on the UK qualifications.  I guess you have to tow the line and follow the rules intheir country.

Good Luck.

Edit:  just looked up the ECC and it isn’t ran by the EAC.
