Kohler command 25 engine wiring help.

I've fitted a kohler command to my old vermeer 186 stump grinder. Now just need to wire it up. I'm hopeless with wiring. Any help would be great

What do you need to know?

Step by step of how to wire it up really. As I say I haven't got a clue

I pressume all the wiring is in place and all you need to do is add a battery?

 

Posibly needs the ignition connecting.

Yeah kind of. I've got the loom coming off the engine 5 or 6 wires? I bought a kohler key ignition for it and was going to just use the solenoid thing (I think that's what it is) off the old engine

Post some pictures of everything you've got, loom off the engine and bits you bought.

The wires coming off the engine are. Green, purple, red, blue, yellow and white. The ignition has tabs labled- M, A, R, B, S and G. The ignition switch is for a rayco stump grinder. Just trying to find what colour wire goes where. I also put the - from battery onto the engine mount bolt and the + onto the starter solenoid. Is that right?

Are you sure that ignition switch is compatible with that engine?, i swapped what I thought was a like for like switch on a B&S V twin and blew the diodes.

To be honest I didn't check. I just knew that the rayco sjr use that engine and ignition
