Hi - hoping for some help, have recently moved into this house and have a blossom tree (not sure exact type - no fruit) that has peeling bark with an odd pattern on the wood underneath, wondering if anyone here knows what it is and what treatment I’ll need to get, pics attached

Thanks, Brett

Doubtless someone else will be able to advise the exact type but looks like bark beetles have eaten all the juicy cambium. I think I see a patch on the stem and on another of the limbs, so basically I would say it's too late for treatment, it's an ex tree.
