Take a measurement from the bottom of the hopper to the bottom of the tracks, then add 18 inches or so for the clearance of the bottom of the trailer, now imagine feeding it at that height all day.

have a high drop down back door on trailer ie 6ft plus and use it as a ramp   and also cud raise edge 5 or 6 inches making drop down door nearly level so its like feeding chipper from floor

no picture used when worked for other contractors  but if ya have a trailer with tracked chipper on and the door is the loading door ie high back door use that as a load up ramp so by time ya get to hopper ya at same hieght as you would be on floor and depending if road on a slope etc ya may choose to raise the outer edge of the load door to make it easier  obviously this means a 6 -10 inch step up but defo acheivable  and chipper stays on trailerand most should still shoot on to van as its a little higher than being on the floor
