just started back doing logs after a long brake my boss has borrowed a 300 just for the first year its ok but poorly made ive bent the cutting blade 2 times the metal seams a bit thin and any knotty wood dont bother trying to split no chance. but if not going to do a lot of logs its better than a axe

Cheers for the feedback - I have a load of logs to do.

Was talking to someone who had the Hilke Hawk which is a similar thing and they said the build quality was not up to hard work and they wouldn't buy one again.

Anyone else know of a well built, self powered portable processer???

We should have the first Farmi road towable available by January and our main depot is just up the road in Kingsley if you wanted to drop by to see it working? Similar spec to the 300 and the hawk (13" bar, 5tonne ram and 2/4 way as standard) but has a powered infeed (of sorts). Not sure on price as yet but can let you know soon.

I liked my hawk but, yes they are quite flimsy as they're designed for nice straight birch and softwood. The 6 way used to stall mine out unless it was straight grained and green but on the right stuff worked well.
