Hi all got some quotes today for some new saws was looking for another stihl 461 as i thought i may get it a bit cheaper as they are no longer made, how wrong i was 461 was £48 more than the 462 bloke at dealers said he had sold more 461,s since the launch of the 462 than he had 462,s but 462,s are now starting to move a bit faster now people are hereing more about them, any one on here using a 462 on a daily basis in forestry that could share there thoughts on one with me, i tend not to listen to what the dealers are telling me about performance and reliabilaty as all there trying to do is make it look as if its the best saw ever, i would value a view by some on the ground using one tho,many thanks,

Just come on ebay now, you would obviously need to ask your general questions but looks pretty tidy.

i have one about 12 month old and i bought one in july from your kneck of the woods of a lad down henthorne that had had about 10 ltrs through it and i flipped it, kicking myself now that i should of hung on to it but buissnes plans change and now need a couple more decent saws for some big beech that we have to fell and some storm damaged sycamore we need to clear just out side your back door, i dont think i would buy another saw off ebay as thats where i get rid of all my older stuff that dont look like its done much but it has, cheers for that,
