I’ve a client I work for I submitted a TPO application it was refused so he put in for a appeal ( He was aware of the 28 days notice) to appeal.

He called me today to say the appeal was received after the 28 days and so not accepted.

He wants to know is there anything he can do to proceed with the appeal or not.

This is a new one for me so help or advice would be a big help.

Thanks in advance.

Could you expand on the nature and context of the works requested in the application and the grounds for its refusal?

(Hit us up with a link to the LA planning page and the application number - that'd be the easiest way)

It might be that the refusal is entirely appropriate - depending on what it was that was requested.

One approach might be to reassess the nature of the works that are being requested, include a solid justification case for the proposed works and re-submit the new application.

Whilst not always practical / possible, an email or telephone call with the TO or PO to get a better understanding of the reasons for rejection might provide the basis for a successful subsequent application.
