Is it easy to replace an iphone 8 screen?

Anyone here done it themselves?  Theres some cheap kits on ebay and plenty of videos on youtube that make it look pretty straight forward, but is it?

The last thing I want to do is try and save myself cash by getting a £20 screen but then subsequently killing my phone in the process.

Also I assume these ebay screens aren't genuine.  Is the quality ok on them?

ive replaced 3 screens now.  None have ever stopped working.  Is this all third party screens or just some?  My boy has my old iphone which I have replaced the screen on twice now.  Last time was a little over a year ago.

And yes Jones, its pretty straight forward.  The hardest part is the tiny screws.  My eyesight isn't what it used to be and im not sure how many more of them i'll be able to manage without glasses.

A magnetic screwdriver is a must, but these usually come with the kit.
