So this is the questions. If I was to be doing a job with 2 other companies, both with their own public liability etc. Would we individually do the method/ risk assessments for each individual company, or would one by myself do the job? Throw in the mix that it would be a voluntary job NOT a payed job. I don’t care either way I just want to do it correctly.

Nominate a competent individual for all 3 companies, and agreed as such, get said person (as site safety coordinator) to produce the SSRA / RAMS and then everyone, and all companies, "sign up" to it. Perhaps, for their records, they should subsequently be supplied with copies.

Thanks James.

I've never felt so "luuuuuved' before on ARBTALK as yours is the 5th <3 (heart) members have sent me recently :D

Sorry, "Friday frivolities" and it's only Tuesday (that's what a heavy morning of SSiP meetings and debating highly technical stuff with 'Certification Body' members does to / for you o.O)

TTFN,

Paul

2 ways to fo with this, either whoever is in charge / supervising should coordinate it or do your own.

In our work we go to clients sites and even for all their rules, risk assessments and method statements we still do our own - and that way we know for sure that we have assessed the risks. There mght be particular risk that you have that they might not (for example driving to site might take you an hour and you might need to consider a break before you set off home, where as the others might be local and 5 minutes away, they won't need to consider that as much)
