Hi all. And happy new year.

Looking for ideas inspiration. I have lots of solid flooring mostly oak.

I'v recently built a 40sqm garden room from block.

I was thinking of do one internal wall in panelling and then whitewashing to break up all the plasterboard look.

Was also thinking of doing an external wall in same and leaving natural or painting black. They are block walls.

Would they stand up to weather I wonder.?

Any other ideas for it. Iv lots of it. Thanks

Have a look at the Japanese technique shou sugi ban. It involves burning the outside of the wood leaving a charred finish that protects it from the element and pests. Looks really good on the outside of a building.

There is quite a lot of info on you tube about it.
I like the effects of shou sugi ban look absolutely stunning if done right. Been used for thousands of years
