Nice! Look out for the baobabs - often known as upside-down trees as they look like stems with straggly roots on top.

 

I am also going in January - hoping to go to Tsitsikamma National Park and do the canopy tour there as I have heard it's pretty good.

just checked with the GF shes S African says that s the tree to look out for

The Jacaranda's are stunning at the right time of year too- great blue blossom (forget when though).

 

Arb is in it's infancy out there as far as I can tell - none of my wife's family out there could believe I had a job in urban tree care. I think it is seen as a labourer's job there. Must be some great opportunities....
