Oakham when did you work in the Noel?

I didn't work in the Noel, I used to work in Anglian Waters training centre over the road from the pub.

 

I was asked to go to a drain blockage when I was up there, at a 'knocking shop', the place got busted by the police while I was in there, it took some explaining to the police.:laugh1:

Is it true that part of the village was flooded to create the resivour?

 

I was told that up until a few years ago the church spire could be seen when the water is low....... Or is this just a myth?

Hey rutlandwater we’ve recently upgraded our bandmill to a trakmet.
Seriously heavily constructed piece of kit with a 750 capacity, if your still looking for something feel free to pop over and have a look at it if you like
