Sewn eye or Double figure 8?

Recommended Posts

@daltontrees , when using a rope without a spliced eye, then you can still use a cambium saver as long it is a sleeve style.

My cambium saver is two fixed rings. I am saving up for a new rope so I don't want to get a different cambium saver. My new rope will have a spliced or preferably sewn eye.

Never had a bowline come undone on my rope and i prefer to use no eye . so no chance to get stuck in a fork or other on way down you can get a aluminium cap (forgot what ist called) to feed end of rope in and feed back on itself and it goes thru the big eye on cambium and not the small
