Seriously, don't try and make graphite yourself by rubbing pencil on sandpaper, you will get quartz (por worse, corrundum/carborundum) particles into the graphite and if you put abrasives like that in your krab hinges etc. you will gub them verty quickly.

 

Thats a shame SWB could have use his micro chipper and made tons of stuff!:001_tt2::thumbup1:

a neat piece of kit. the next version will be better as it will have a roller built into it. Ive got a video of it in use but i cant seem to upload it at the moment. Ive only had limited use on it but in srt mode its pretty awesome-better than traditional ascenders as you can ascend and descend without unclipping anything. i didnt like it in double rope mode. The guy in the photo (johnno) is pretty mean using it now, it requires a whole new style of climbing to get the best out of it.
