Here's a large dead oak that Anna and I did recently.

I hate platform but quite enjoyed this job :)

Shame the butt was full of metal and took 2 days to cut up...we miss our crane :(

Was it a 15m machine Buzz?

looks like you may have struggled a bit for outreach on the far side.

How did you find it for speed once you got used to the controls, ie was it faster than rigging and lowering?

One little tip I'd give anyone using a mewp is take your long climbing rope up with you, they are such a pain to lower the basket back down with the hand pump if it packs in for any reason you can abseil down

Yeah 15m I think, height was about right, i did the whole crown in hand held pieces as it was so dead at the tips.

This was one of the more responsive and non-jerky machines I have used.

It would have been faster than rigging and lowering yes, I choose a platform because of the road, dead wood would have dropped everywhere otherwise.

Looks like the right tool for that job.

What was the SWL for the cage, could you have got two people working in there?

I always find two up really helps speed the jobs along as one can control whilst the other can consentrate on dismantling.

Nice Work Buzz. :icon14::icon14:

What platform is that MONKEYD? I've never seen it before. Looks huge, does it take two people looking at size of bucket. Did you hire it in?
