Information might not be able to find easily; a lot of variables -depends on the Genera,soil and some nurseries stretch it a bit when they really mean extra heavy nursery stock for semi-mature (SM)

Standards will again vary with genera, light standard 5years old, then going through the size range up to 10 yrs. A Poplar light standard reasonable in three years; Oaks could be ten yrs- hard to define.

As posted a good nursery specialising in semi matures(SM) will know the age range they grow.

I considered newly planted SMs live but often stand still, sometimes years. I reckon until they had adapted to new conditions including Myccorhiza balance in the soil.I have planted Beech 15 to 20 yrs old SM's, from own stock;

As with all stock speed is the key to successful planting- the less time they are out of the ground the better.
