Bandit HB20 vs. JoBeau B24-100 ?

Currently thinking about one of these two machines, has anyone had a head to head demo?

The hydraulic sweep looks like a winner on the JoBeau, however, how much engine power would this be sapping? Bearing in mind it starts 3hp behind the Bandit, I can't see it matching the work rate.

As I see it, the Bandit grinds deeper, is more powerful and is well proven, whilst the JoBeau has the hydraulic sweep and is around a grand cheaper.

There is another question of whether to keep the Rock Machinery filling rattler and just get a bigger second hand grinder, but for the purpose of this thread l want to concentrate on the two machines above.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Steve.

Hi Steve, I guess I am best placed to comment on these. No one has had a head to head yet as the Jo Beau hasn't arrived, the HB20N has served us well being our best seller for Eight years in a row. It is still a unique grinder as no one makes a like for like hence the price tag, from my stance it is still the best all round grinder on the market if you only want One machine.

There are a few other turntable machines now available but they are less hp, electric drive & manual brakes amongst other things. The B24-100 could have just took it to the next level with a few extra features. The slew is hydraulic not manual & the handlebar up/down is electric so it can be adjusted as you go. There are a few details below.

HB20N B24-100

25" width 25" width

330kgs. 330kgs

Dual wheels std. dual wheels 400euros( we will order these as std)

25hp Kohler. 24hp Honda

22" depth. 18" depth

22" height. 14" height

26" swing. 39.5" swing

8x greenteeth. 8x Greenteeth

Belt drive. Belt drive

We have the Jo Beau on order but the first Three have already sold but we do have a demo machine coming, the HB20 is temporarily out of stock as Two have sold this week again, let me know if you need further info.

Dean,

Many thanks for your input, I was under the impression that the Bandit was 27hp (Arblease specs).

I think the JoBeau would benefit from a decent promo video as, in the one I've seen, the machine doesn't seem to have the power and aggression of the Bandit.

Will you have the new one up at the AA show in May?

Regards,

Steve.
