attachments for bowl turning

Yeah, we have the same one Dave, except mine is the Mk1, but i cant get a picture of it at the moment.

 

Thanks Ian, i think i will get that 4" face plate, and the medium sized revolving center.

 

Here are the pictures of the tools i have. i know the bottom picture is a roughing gouge.

They are all basically scrapers apart from the first marples tool which is a parting tool. The scapers basically get the lumps and bumps out can do shaping with them but need to be carefull. If you only want to do bowls get a fingernail bowl gauge 3/8" and 1/2" I'll post pics of what i have.

From the top

1/2" bowl gauge, 3/8 Bowl gauge (both fingernail), Scraper, Roughing gouge, Scraper, Parting tool, Scraper, Spindle gauge 3/8" fingernail, Spindle gauge 3/8 standard, Little one on side is a parting tool.

 

The square end scraper is for doing bottom of boxes, the round one is bowls and the angled one I use foe anything really V cuts, Good foe around curves.

The fingernail bowl guages are brill and so is the small parting tool Ian you are lucky it went home with you LOL. I will be asking father christmas for one:thumbup1:

David, which record power set do you have?

As you have most of them already (you can grind the scrapers to any shape) i Would buy a 3/8 and 1/2 bowl gouge fingernail and a 3/8 spindle gauge fingernail, 1/16 parting tool it good too. Look at robert sorby.
