Dolmars in the UK inc 5105 - Shame it's £more than a 346xp

Morning guys and girls,

Popped over to see Tim yesterday to have a look at the Dolmar5105. Had a quick go on it. It Revs really well, like a well tunned 346, but with the grunt of a 357. I found the antivibe to be really good to be honest. I ran it with a 15" bar and chain combo. I hammered it in a larch plantation for an hour and i was impressed with the saw. Nice balance and a good all round saw. I will be having one of these as my next saw.

Over here the 5101 has a catalytic muffler from what I was told. The 5100 muffler is a bolt on replacement. Just so you know to check that out over there.

Your guys 5101 probably has a good muffler from the get go. Let me know.

What is the Makita equivalent of this saw and are they just as good. Thanks. I'm wanting one that will take both a 14/15 inch bar and also a 18 inch bar if needs be.

Bang on the money! Finally got one and simply adore it!
