Anyone played game stump at a pub thanks

Hi all anyone played game called stump at a pub how you play I'm told you ring of hard wood say 2ft ring by 4ft high then get Nail and axe try and hit nail into the wood BUT EACH TIME YOU HAVE AGO AT THE NAIL YOU MUST A CIZZER SO YOUR ALL OVER PLACE TRYING HIT IT INTO THE RING IS THIS RIGHT WAY PLAY THE GAME IT ON MENDIP HILL Thanks Jon

Used to play it in Switzerland, 10 players 10 nails, "nagen"

Rules each takes a turn, last one to bury the nail buys next round, last one has 5 goes to bury nail,if you miss; lose a piece of clothing,; you designate a hand to play with if you change hands lose a go,

best with knotty hardwood ,local rules will vary, but that's the jist of it

Hammer is local type, a bit like a geologist hammer,
