any tips for balancing?

dont use a balancer much but this last week it has been really useful.

 

the balancer Ive made is just a rope with two steel krabs knotted to the ends and then a prussik loop attached to the middle of the rope which is then clipped to the main rigging line. SLiding the prussik about changes the balance.

 

Now straight logs. no problem. but balancing branches with tips always ends up dipping down one end or the other.

 

Anyone got any handy hints?

You can add another short leg to the biggest side branch and attach it on your other balancer with a prussik knot or klemheist. Add as many as you need to keep the limb balanced and stop it tipping. Have a look on YouTube for helpful videos.
