Help please!

I'm looking at buying a small piece of land to use to tip woodchip, logs and rakings. I will not store any tools/equipment there. My business will still be registered at home. Will I need to pay business rates?

Is it on a farm or garden as I believe lots of it will depend on what the land is used for and who owns it

Thanks for your reply. I would be buying the land so I will own it. The land is used for equestrian at the moment...

Scatter the chip over the ground and build jumps using the arisings. You can then charge the little Henrietas to have their gymkanas on it - win win!

I think some of it depends on how you describe what you are doing, you have to be careful that you are not using it as a business location to process and sell from nor using it as a waste transfer station, if you label it as your own site for storing logs and chip to be used for yourself privately then as long as the volumes are within EA guidelines then you can almost do as you please.
