  1. Evening everyone, First time posting on here?, just putting some feelers out for potential work abroad In Australia or New Zealand for 2021. Currently based in South Wales with 2 years experience in the Arb/Rope Access industry, working as a subbie. I’ve travelled Australia and New Zealand previously and I have been looking for the opportunity to go back. Can provide a CV and multiple references. [email protected] Cheers everyone.
  2. Hi there, I'm going out to New Zealand from the UK around September time for a month or so to see some family and was wondering if it was possible to find some work whilst i'm there to see whether I would like to potentially work out there for a longer period of time. I have 4 and a half years experience. My qualifications are; Level 2&3 Arb. Chainsaw maintenance and crosscutting. Felling. Aerial rescue. Chainsaw from rope and harness. Rigging. Aerial pruning. Felling large trees. Stump grinding. I have a few more additional ones also. Hope someone can help! Thanks Adam.
  3. I am looking to working abroad, particularly in New Zealand but I have also visited Canada recently and was very much drawn to the country. I am looking to do this both for the chance of adventure and to further my knowledge and skills in the arb industry. I am a 24 year old Climber/Groundsman working in the south of england qualified and practised in: CS30 Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross-Cutting (QCF) CS31 Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm (QCF) CS32 Felling and Processing Trees OVER 380mm (QCF) CS38 Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue (QCF) CS39 Aerial Cutting of Trees with a Chainsaw using Free Fall Techniques. If you could be of any help or offer any advice in finding work I would very much appreciate it. Many thanks James Codling [email protected]
  4. Hi all, I am after a little help and assistance. Myself and my family are looking to move to Australia in the very near future, we have visited a few times and love it. We would prefer South Australia, but have no particular hold over any set area, as long as we don't live in the cities (we are rural people with a country and outdoor lifestyle) I am an experienced arborist with 6 years direct experience, I am currently an Operations Manager for a local company and normally run between 4 and 7 teams per day, alongside surveys and quotations. Prior to this I was a Police officer for 11 years. I am looking for some tips on; who to contact, who is recruiting, and experiences from others who have made the move. I am too old for a working holiday (35) and am looking for a long term solution as I will be moving with my family (wife and 3 young children) so ideally a 457 visa would suit, with a company who I can progress and have a long term working relationship with. Thanks Richard
  5. I currently looking to get a working holiday visa in Australia (specifically Brisbane) and just need a few tips on how to go about looking for work etc. its all a bit confusing I have a level 3 extended diploma in arboriculture and if you can count training over 2 years I have experience there along with roughly 6 months working with my current employer. The nptc tickets I have are: CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39, Chipper, Pole Pruner, Mewp, Rigging, Stump grinder Just need a bit of a push in the right direction as its all very overwhelming but something that i'm extremely keen on getting the ball rolling. Trying to reach out to any employers out there in aus who are reading this or anyone who is employed there! Any help is greatly appreciated!
  6. i've been asked to quote for a job in the south of france, but the insurers aren't so keen, it seem's like i've got my public liability to agree to it, but insuring my self ? if anything happens i'll bare the full cost of the medical bills say hopefully in the worst case one of us needs to be air lifted to a hospital ? anyone know who could help me out ? any one of any experience working in france before ? Cheers Alex
