Hi All, In the past I have purchased failed rails /posts by the cord / tonne / whatever. I'm looking at next years supply and can't find any of the usual chaps selling. Anyone out there harvesting wants to sell a few tonnes? 3 or 4 x 2 tonne loads. Maybe more? Bob

I am looking for both sawn sweet chestnut (25mm planks) and bigger stuff to be ripped down in workshop (say 250x150) lengths approx 3600mm though flexible. Air dried pref, though would take green and dry it here. It would be great if delivery possible to Harston, Nr Cambridge CB22. I'm not after arctic loads (I am a tiny workshop!), primarily it is for a workshop extension project, then furniture making after this. Not sure of cu/ft needed, just let me know what you have lengths and sizes. Also sweet chestnut butts wanted for shake making (12-14" long all cut same size) This will be ongoing. Many thanks! info at stephenfranks dot com

What is the best wood for fence posts for fencing as i find softwood post are treable and do not last any time.due to the cost of fence post at the moment and the bad treaments. i am condering planting some sc coppice but i am not shore about what condition it likes and i can not find any thing on yeilds classes, cost of coppicing exctra and ther is next to nothering in the way of forestry here so it can be hard to get adivice. but if ther are any wood that are better can you sugest them as well. and what gentic stock is better i feel it would be viable to do this as it would easer and they would last longer. this would be much apreached NI Tree
