Here's my boggle: I want to put a Stihl saw head off of a HS131 polesaw on a Maruyama long reach hedge cutter. The Stihl head has that wee square female coupling. The Hedger (don't have the product code to hand) is kind of an oddball machine, not too many around. It's got either a 7 or 9 spline shaft. I want something to connect the splined end of the hedger driveshaft to the square indent inside the Stihl head. Any ideas?

Mine is eight years old now. Second head, third shaft, 4-mix motor is still ok. Just wondering if I should buy another one before they stop making them, or before inflation does something silly to the prices? Mine was €850 in 2014, I see they can be got for €800 now. The latest models seem to have got mixed reviews. I know what I'm dealing with, with a 131, tried and true, even if it's not perfect. Any thoughts?

Left my Husq in a shed for a few months, and the rats got to it...had to strip it down and sterilize the whole thing. Be careful how you store if you use veg oil for chain lube...
