Evening, looking into buying a cheap kubota b1400 tractor from a local bloke, and although I am confident it will run my saw bench, will it have enough power and weight to be able to lift my thor supermajic 18t pto splitter? Looking for a small tractor which would be my own, and at the same time be handy for manoeuvring chipper etc on larger work sites, and this is local and within budget. thanks

Done firewood a few years ago, but since the arb side of the business got increasingly busy I didn't have time to do it. Sold the road tow Balfor 16 ton splitter. Now however I have a wood burner, and need a small scale splitter. A vertical jobbie looks ideal for my needs. Like the look of the thor aplino 6 ton electric. But is this over kill? Heard good things about the Handy vertical electric splitter it's half the price. But will I regret buying it? And wish that I had spent the extra money. Any help and advice gratefully received?
