Any logs, trunks etc that I can chop up for firewood. Just contact me first and if I’m home, I’ll help unload them in the driveway!
  2. Sounds like you have a chip on your shoulder. Social media is awful! Channel that into your work but don’t let it affect how you treat or see your peers! I will say though that your sex does come into this line of work. Tree work is very physical which why many women will simply not be able to do/sustain the output needed for heavier work - especially when it’s every day. Not saying all, just most. That’s not sexism. That’s just reality of the sexes. Men on average have a lot more muscle mass and that is often required in tree work. I’m a guy but have a slender build - I know I would not be able to maintain the output these guys do. All those heavy tools, the logs etc. But if you’re part of a small team, I have no doubt you will find your place in it! A positive attitude is key. And I’m sure you will get stronger every day and be able to do most of the jobs required. And try not to take all advice or construction criticism the wrong way or always view it through a lens of sexism if you are tempted to. That can easily result in embitterment and sexism of your own. Seen it time and time again. Be aware of your limitations and find a way to excel where your strengths lie. for example, if you march into a yard, proclaim you can do what all the men can do, and then hurt yourself trying to life a large trunk or operate a heavy piece of equipment, you damage your image/how others see you as well as your health. Never worth it and only ends badly. Best of luck to you and hope your new venture flourishes!
