  1. We are an arboricultural and landscape consulting firm, based in North Wales. We’re urgently seeking subcontractor arboricultural surveyors for current projects in North Wales and the North-West. Work involves data capture of trees on large infrastructure projects to the BS 5837:2012 standard. Data capture devices, software, PPE and project-specific training provided. We're seeking to create a pool of knowledgeable, flexible arboriculturists to contribute to interesting, strategic projects. A number of projects are coming live now, so work is currently available. While this particular opportunity is for projects to be delivered over the next 3-6 months, we would hope that some talented prospects could be offered longer-term or employed posts. Responsibilities Collect tree data on large, generally rural development projects. Be able to interpret construction drawings and topographical surveys. Use GNSS systems to collect tree information, and understand and interpret wider landscape implications of the developments in question. Qualifications Level 4+ arboriculture qualification preferred, but very happy to speak to those with a strong practical basis to skills outside of the formal framework. Professional Tree Inspector qualification is desirable. Other tree assessment qualifications (QTRA, VALID etc) considered an asset. Additional training and mentoring will be provided to promising candidates. We have our own decay detection equipment (ArboTom 6 + ArboRadix root detection), Professional, cm-accurate GPS equipment, CAD and GIS facilities and Air- spading gear, and will help you develop skills with this advanced equipment. Our Offer We offer competitive day rates for competent and productive surveyors. Our principal has over 25 years experience in 5 countries, and close mentorship to enable candidates to develop quickly is provided. A paid work trial is offered to the right candidates, with the results informing a rate offer to the prospect. We're happy to arrange a video call to discuss our requirements and your aspirations. Contact Please apply with a CV, report or work examples to [email protected]

  3. Contractor required for large domestic job in St Helens. 5-6 mature trees and other assorted removals. Contractor must have means of removing round timber (ideally a timber wagon and grab to reduce cross-cutting on site) and volumes of chip, as site has very little storage space. To be undertaken ASAP. Please DM Scott for details, and ideally some information on kit available to take material away.
  4. Hi Steve. Yes, I just saw that. I've reached out to the closest one. Cheers
  5. We're currently seeking a subcontract L4 tree assessor for work in North Wales and the Northwest of England. Initially looking for as-required surveying support, but happy to develop a closer working relationship with the right candidate. Work includes tree risk assessment, BS 5837:2012 assessments and site supervision. Sonic tomography and Airspade work may also be sought from a suitably skilled and experienced candidate. Data capture devices and software and branded PPE supplied by us. While a level 4 qualification and PTI is desired, candidates with an equivalent mix of skills and experience (ideally practically-based) would be considered. A full UK driver's licence is also required. A vehicle is currently required, but if work increases (as it is at the moment), a company van will be provided. If interested, please send a CV, a little about yourself and, if available, some report examples to [email protected] Would be looking to schedule Zoom/Teams interviews for the week starting the 5th of December 2022.
