  1. My brother had a thick ply floor in his flat, put in by the folk in before him. Looks ok and is warm, but you're better off with the OSB. Ply needs to be sealed well and that's going to cost you both money and time. If you don't seal it and you break the surface (moving furniture etc) it starts to peel back and splinter. Then it just becomes a pain in the arse tbh. He had bits where the previous folk had sofa legs, dressers, beds, main walking areas etc that were all worn/splintering. Maybe look around and see if you can find a bulk buy bargain on some laminate. By the time you factor in the ply sheets and all the tins of poly to seal it ... it might work out cheaper?
  2. Oh wives and gf's always frown on everything. That's why i tend to keep them facing the other way ๐Ÿ˜‰
  3. Aye, they are ok actually. Well ... as long as you watch out for any toe of fingernails that is ๐Ÿ˜‰
  4. So i just stuck 3 boxes of sage and onion stuffing up the girlfriend for nothing? She was complaining enough before. Now it's all turned out to be fake, she's gonna go mental. ... Only kidding. I'm sane. I don't have a gf ๐Ÿ™„
  5. Oh yeah, minced or something. Don't want to have to endure watching them gag on the real thing, whole ๐Ÿคฎ
  6. This could make for a new twist to I'm a celeb. Those eliminated from/those that fail tasks, then get used for the eating trials ๐Ÿ˜ฒ
  7. Free Range, Prime Scottish Beef. Raised running free in the Scottish Highlands. Ideal for those that like a large portion ๐Ÿ˜‰
  8. Can you sign-up other people? Cause i have some family that .... well .... you know ๐Ÿ˜‰ Also brings a whole new meaning to the term "Having friends over for dinner" ๐Ÿคฃ
  9. I was working outside in a T-shirt for 5hrs on Friday. It was fine (fresh, lol) till the sun went down around 3pm. Then OMFG was it cold. Most of the younger generation (oh god i feel 'so old' saying those words) have never experienced an actual cold winter. They see 2 flakes of snow and panic. When i was young we could build igloos in the garden out of snow. Sometimes having to dig the car out, and roads that were feet deep. Hell in the early 90's I had to follow the snow plough along the A96 just to get to Inverness to work. Drifts were higher than the car roof.
  10. Oh i cannot complain about the quality or quantity of wood. Once again i got more than i ordered (by my estimate at least) and it's lovely looking, dry (approx 11%), large block wood. I just wish it would move and stack itself ๐Ÿคฃ By god aye. Nothing but rippling muscles here now .... covered by a few inches of whale blubber ๐Ÿคญ
  11. Or in my case. Am i paying too much. If i'm spending 5hrs moving it, shouldn't they be paying me? ๐Ÿค”
  12. My wood order turned up yesterday, about a week before i was expecting it and i didn't have the area cleared for the wood to go into. It was dropped (loose) at the front of the house. So i spent about 5hrs moving it round the back of the house, piling and loading into both cube bags and the wood shed. So after all that i am no longer coveting that massive woodpile ... unless it came with the barn. Which is what i could be doing with ๐Ÿ‘
  13. Well if you get one ... keep me updated ๐Ÿ˜‰
