  3. i tried one out, it wasnt great but this was only on an 11hp machine. Think id have been better off chewing the stump myself. each to their own but for the outlay id rather wrestle and make light work with the fsi for the odd occasion that it would be handy on the skid.
  4. When i was looking, I had one off rawstone hire they run a worky quad and flail on their fleet. if youre from the south east give it a go with them. I found it worked well
  5. I saw videos of the Klou cone splitter on the worky-quad 11hp, looked to do the job pretty well. That Klou also do a stump grinder definitely needs a higher flow machine. Pet beaver would be cheaper and quicker.
  6. Came across this on Plant Planet. Couldn't agree more with it alleviating some aches and pains. Time to Reduce the aches and pains of Tree Surgery! - Plant Planet WWW.PLANT-PLANET.CO.UK Gem Plant Sales have recently supplied a Cast Loaders Worky-Quad model SSQ11P to The Surrey Garden & Tree Company...
  7. 10 days in and update for you all, been keeping an eye on the chatter here since, handy about advice on loading and things so appreciate that. Had it out on mainly little landscaping jobs and small lumps and been a dream. Dont come home and sleep straight away anymore😂did have a fair sized oak tree to do, one enormous help is this lifting well over 200kg, can keep it much larger sections (less cutting with the huskie too) and get more money down the mill. Alongside massive labour help, paying its way there too. Power on the auger really shocked me too, knocking out holes so much faster and already have friends in the industry asking to use it. I got the smallest worky and paid extra for 'skinny' tyres to get through a gate without having to breathe in. Anybody on the fence looking to make the plunge, all i'd say is I wish I had this sooner. Good service from the dealer too. Will update at later date when i've learnt more tricks!
  8. That's the guy we had on demo. Be interested to know what attachments you decide on. Doobin - I do agree with the stump grinder, i was advised to be on the cautious side with them but i only come across small stumps typically, I was shown a video with a Clue/Klow it was said, stump grinder which looked to do a job.
  9. I have used a Sherpa a few times, as much as I was impressed, I heard good things about the Worky so I gave it a go - I found better balance with the worky and ticked more boxes, totally more refined than the Sherpa, but each to their own opinions isnt it. I know all attachments are always built by third party and badged up, similarly how my Avant is. I demo'd the smallest unit, SSQ11+, Im debating to upgrading to the larger engined worky to run a stumpy, or just keep to my current setup. I will definitely be buying one, and it will be the worky.
  10. Keeping an eye on this be interested to know as I have a lot of old machinery that’s about to get scrapped because it can’t run the e10 on
  11. I just had a demo of the Workyquad from gem plant sales who are the dealer for the south and SE and have to say I was overwhelmed with how well it performed and the range of attachments. Got to be cute on the controls to not make a mess of the turf (I should have been prepared and put boards down) but I’m going with a log grab/grapple bucket, pallet forks potentially, definitely interested in the stump grinder and the auger attachment as I do a range of arb/landscaping work. Brilliant bit of kit and if you’re based this way i would recommend the worky quad and gem. Nice, knowledgable rep as well called Graham.
