  1. Hi. Thanks for the great info. I ordered one. Mv8500. Arrives tomorrow. 52 dollars. Amazon. I'm trying to figure out where to connect pump on jonsereds 621. There is a weird hose coming off the fuel line block I thought was an impulse line but it is plugged up and just sits there. One crankcase has a hole but the other one doesn't seem to have it
  2. Sorry. I didn't see your post until now. It is an old Jonsered. A 621 I'm using for parts. I have 3 of them working and 3 I'm trying to make one out of. I'm learning a lot on this forum and also arboristsite .com. I'm trying to talk myself into buying a pressure and vacuum tester. Don't know of it is worth it. Tried ether on clutch to test for crank seal leak and nothing happened.
  3. Hi. Thanks for the info. I have a jonsereds 621. I ruined one and felt really bad about it so I put a new piston and cylinder in and it is back to normal. This pic is of a saw I may use parts from to make another one. Question, I am going to spray ether around my clutch with the saw running to see if it revs higher to check for a crank seal leak. Does this sound sensible?
  4. Thanks so much for the great post. I'm new here. This is my first post actually. If you don't mind a question how often do use a vacuum cleaner when cleaning a saw? What kind do you use? Do you use compressed air in a can? Thanks, Frank this picture probably makes you cringe.
