  1. Has anyone ever used this? Hyundai HYLS8000VE 8 Tonne Vertical Electric Log Splitter | Toolden WWW.TOOLDEN.CO.UK Shop for Hyundai HYLS8000VE 8 Tonne Vertical Electric Log Splitter online at Toolden. Free delivery is available for mainland UK orders over £50. 0% interest finance available. I am a bit concerned that I can't find a single review for it anywhere...
  2. 4 years on from OP, just seeing what people are currently paying/selling for freshly felled, cut into rounds, not split, hard and soft?
  3. Thanks for all the helpful advice. As a result I am getting some green, softwood delivered for £15 a cube.
  4. This must vary based on location (we’re in Aberdeenshire) as I just paid £120 for a potato box of seasoned, split and cut beech!
  5. Thanks folks, this is very helpful and certainly gives me something to work with. ??
  6. Unfortunately, the tree surgeon who I’d be getting this from occasionally sells his cut and seasoned logs so I think he’d be after more than beer tokens. In my head I’m thinking paying 1/4 of the price for the green wood compared to the cut and seasoned wood? But no idea if that’s reasonable or even too much....
  7. How much would you pay for unseasoned, uncut hard wood from a tree surgeon? Or if you’re a tree surgeon, how much do you sell it for? This isn’t for commercial purposes, just me, in my home with the tools to cut and split and the space to season. Again, I realise this might be difficult to price but any rough guidelines would be great. Cheers
  8. Would be happy accept hardwood or softwood logs or rounds that can be moved by one person. Nothing smaller than 10cm diameter and nothing larger than 50cm diameter as I am splitting by hand. No fence posts or things with nails and wire in it please Get in touch for specific access instructions, cheers.
