Isn't that is what a private pension does..?
Until some hedge fund gambles it away, yeah. We are so far behind in this country it’s unreal.- 1

Or I could blow my N.I contributions on fast living and hope for the best?[emoji848]

I get you now mate, and I agree.
The problem is the government pension scheme is completely outdated.
You were meant to retire at 65, live for 5 more years, then die.
Our state pension is shocking, compared to the rest of Europe it’s a pittance, I’d happily pay a bit more tax now in exchange for 20 odd grand when I retire at 65. -
Just ordered some. Anyone tried it yet? Assuming it runs on same bar/sprocket etc?

That's truly terrible - do you know how it happened?
Electrical fault most likely, had left it in car park. Came back and it was on fire! -

@Hodge We use them already to put an edge back on the teeth when its on the grinder but found it quite slow to do on teeth that are really blunt.
Plus I have around 100 to do.
Same here.. -
I’m rolling with a predator 460, bought new 3 years ago, it’s as good as it gets for my kind of work, £131 pm finance, and covers that with first job of the month. Probably out twice a week, it’s very, very rare that I have to sub someone in with a larger machine.

The 562 is the bigger clutched version of the 560 with bigger bar mount. This means I doubt it will go to.325 pitch even if you wanted to. Husky C85 chain cuts really well if you want something a bit tamer get some Oregon 72DPX it's a 3/8 pitch semi chisel chain. If you keep it sharp and use it properly the difference safety wise between full and semi chisel isn't massive.
The real difference between your 261 on training and your 562 is the extra power the 562 will have. So faster cutting especially on the full chisel so you will arrive at the hinge quicker than you think.
See also Ms 500... I’m constantly arriving at the hinge quicker than I expect.. even after 2 years. -
interested to know why you have had so many problems, do you have to rely on the gennies for when it's dark ?
Mostly washing machine/tumble dryer/winter really.
Ours is a bit of a bodge as hopefully not permanent,- 1

Don’t! We are currently off grid, 1000ah of batteries, 2xinverters, loads of panels, 3x generators, untold ****************ing about in the dark and rain when a generator has a wobble. Can’t wait for our mains connection to arrive..(16 months and counting). The amount of labour involved soon counteracts any actual kWh cost

I think I’ve almost wept three times when I read what happened to him. I’ve been feeling quite sad and angry thinking about it too. Can’t get it out of my head. I think it’s partially from having two wee ones and also being away from them for a coupe of weeks now.
I hope they both get shown plenty of love in Jail.
Same, it’s really got under my skin, can’t believe this shit keeps happening. I’m not big on revenge, but those two deserve everything that’s coming in prison- 4

Tbh, the impact on arb will be tiny compared with the hit on construction/ festivals etc, I do all the tree work at Glastonbury, they’re budgeting an extra £700,000 for having to run on white!

Yes and domestic tree surgery is none of the above.
Horticulture definition includes the care of trees.. that covers tree surgery I suppose? -
Is it just about palms?
Be well handy if you’re working Torquay way if so!- 1

I couldn’t give a toss about my 500s fuel consumption, it’s an absolute joy to use, and hasn’t missed a beat in 2 years. And, yes, it looks battered!

Big respect to you Ian for putting staff well being at the forefront of your business. Luckily I put myself in the ‘ have a drink and chat with a mate’ camp for my personal issues. But it’s different strokes and all that. You’re a good guy. [emoji109][emoji109][emoji109][emoji106]

I’ve picked up a stephill (rebadged Honda) inverter genny for £100 two years ago, it’s run at least 4 hours a day since and has been faultless!
