  1. I was wandering if any 1 can clarify whether this is a Cyprus or cedar arb reports done on the tree have it as a cedar I’am under the impression it’s a Nootka Cyprus’s either way is it any good to plank and carve with ?

I’ve been planking nearly all the trees I’ve cut down that seems a waste to turn into fire wood over the past couple of years , but one tree I took down is simply amazing however i’am worried about it warping and splitting I’ve stacked it with batons and stored in a ventalted lock up about 6 months ago and all still seems ok I no that London plane is proned to warping is there anything else I can do to preserve these planks
  3. I’ve just planked some spalted maple not sure whether to sell in smaller pieces for gutair blanks or keep in 1800 x 750 x 75mm slabs ?
