2017 Iveco Daily 35-10 Euro 6 3.0 litre 180bhp 3.5 ton tipping Arborist Van 75,000 miles Service, brakes and MOT done a month ago. Not been used since. This van was bought by us brand new from Iveco in Brighouse in 2017. We then had the tipping body and toolbox built at an approved coachbuilders. This body is type approved for the road. There is not many 3.0 litre ones about but is helpful for the line of work it is in, good for towing. The tool box has 2x lockable sliding van vault storage draws one on either side of the vehicle with lashing points for chaining equipment up. The vehicle has also had air bag suspension fitted to the rear to help level the vehicle when loaded Vehicle fitted with tachograph from factory. Plenty of roof space for ladders. Clean Woodchip ie no rubbish in etc is welcome. We will take hard wood in any size. Soft wood ideally would have to be in larger lengths. Will have to ring prior to dropping but we are around most of the time!

Yes I would say so, but then again I have only milled with this set up for oversize logs so hard to compare with other set ups. We went for the 84 inch which makes changing the chain and moving the saw rig back to the start of the mill easier with two men. To set the jig up on a log is easily achievable with one man and is a quick process. H

Thanks! Yeh it’s a great bit of kit, easy to use with the hand winch/crank. After the teeth snapped on the hyper skip I swapped it over to the full skip which gave a cleaner cut. H

A bit of milling from the weekend. Large piece of Oak approximately 3.5m in length. Managed to find an 8-10mm bolt or rod of steel at the stump end [emoji849] manage to snap 7 teeth off the hyper skip chain.

We got it just before Christmas! Thought it would be better for milling up the smaller lengths, as the wide slabber is only any use for monster pieces. H

The cuts are a tad bit rippled, but I think that could be down the the hyper skip chain and original file angle [emoji848] Took a while to get the saw attached to the frame with the chain but once I get familiarised with it I think it could be dismantled and put together fairly quickly. Attaching the frame to the log tho was quick and easy, didn’t think to time it. H

From the go I had with it today I found it easy to use in the way of setting up for the next cut and the little hand winch was great to pull the saw through evenly. The bar has a bit of sag but I guess that’s inevitable due to the size of it. H

New to milling and had our first go with the wide slabber/big mill from Logosol today. We went for the largest one which uses a double ended 84in bar! This nicely spalted Beech was cut down on Monday this week and this 2.1m section was about 7m up in the tree. You might of seen it on the today’s job thread on Bigtreedon last post.
