  1. Thanks for all the replies folks. Used it today, I like it. Reason for wanting to try was a new for me setup: Set my line and base anchor with ultralink then set a "primary" canopy anchor, the idea being that if something fails in the tree I have the base anchor as a backup. I like the extra safety this offers but it's also a faff.
  2. I'm not sure it complicates much...?
  3. Have seen this before but not tried...
  4. Picked one up today, yet to use it and the recall stuff does make me nervous but it does seem like a good bit of kit. I'll only be using it for base anchors so in theory it shouldn't get moved around or knocked by anything... Anyone out there using one?
  5. That is shocking! I am furious for you, what a horrible, sad little man. As for "hating leaves", he might need a change in profession??? If I was in your position and things ended up getting nasty I would not hesitate to challenge his status as an "amazing gardener" by posting these before and after pics as a google review. Also, does something like this not constitute criminal damage?
  6. Helly Hansen Gale jacket has never let me down, not an unreasonable price either: hhworkwear.com WWW.HHWORKWEAR.COM
  7. Is there a case to be made for them starting out slowly, not undertaking anything too big and learning as they go? I don't really see any harm in that, especially if they aren't in a position to go and get experience with another tree firm. You can still do things properly and safely without tickets (although I do agree tickets if possible are the way to go).
  8. Agree with this. It's expensive but if it means that folks like Reg can get paid while continuing to develop and refine equipment, making things better and safer for the rest of us, I don't think that's a bad thing.

    The Boxing .

I think Mike Tyson could absolutely batter him regardless of age, but I also think and expect that it'll probably all be a bit underwhelming.
  10. Will be interesting to see if they also release his climbing device, especially with the new rope runner just coming out
  11. It's much better now after a bit of WD-40 to all the moving parts, didn't notice any noise at all so that's nice.
  12. This is good to know thanks
  13. There isn't a lot in the manual about maintenance, just a little image of an oil can Going to give it a bit of oil tomorrow and see if it makes a difference.
