Away from where the saw is for couple of days so I can't try this.Watched some more stuff on youtube "The greasy shop rag" guy used super glue on rubber at a oil pipe vent, was wodnering if it was worth trying where the two rubber sealing/ transfer fittings encapsulate the oiler tube?Or would you recommend some other sealent?

All back together still not oiling properly stripped it back to here should the oil be pumping better than this? IMG_9368.MOV

Thats great info thanks, I had checked all but the throw which I didn't know about.Do you agree that the oil should be pouring out the way I mentioned in my last post?When the pump is rebuilt should there be be grease packer in where the nylon gear is?

Saw stopped oiling, dismantled the oil pump cleaned everything cheaked for wear and all is grand, cleaned tank cleaned oil filter in tank rebuilt and still not oiling.Before I packed up today had the pump out yet again I took the rubber that has the filter on it out,the hole thats left I presume the chain oil should be pouring out that hole but its not.This is why I thought about the cap.

Thanks of that I have the 45 parts manual and nothing in that, still searching the net,somebody must know.

There is a notch on the casing where the oil cap screws on would that be it.Should this cap have a washer or o ring?

Hi,I bought this saw 30 years ago and have used it for cutting firewood ever since, it cuts well for a small saw starts with seven or eight pulls from cold if I leave it on idle it will just keep running,warm it starts with one pull.My question is it's really easy to pull and seems to be getting easier I did a compression test and its 145 psi I took the muffler off and there is marking on the piston.I checked the guage with another guage and its reading correctly.If I tried to lift the saw by the cord I cant do it the cord just comes out.Can anyone tell me why the reading is relatively high but the compression seems from the cord to be so bad?

Are you saying that fully synthetic 2 stroke oil thats used in mopeds can't be used.

Hi,I have inherited two old Husqvarna chainsaws a 45 and 61 they are running very well.What is the fuel oil mix for these saws I read online that it was 50/1 if you use Husqvarna 2 stroke oil but 33/1 or 25/1 if other 2 stroke oils were used is this true?Any advice would be great

Hi,does anyone use one of these to tune there chainsaw?I bought one and can set the idle but when I try the high revs the screen just goes blank/turns off.Any idea what may be wrong?I have set it for the one cylinder setting .
