  3. Red palm weevils definitely the cause of the wound. Would like to know what the cage is for? Maybe to help with a treatment ? As said on here it's way too flimsy to take the crowns weight. Had to take a lot of these down in Spain over a 10 year period. Absolutely ****** the palm/date industry to the tune of millions of Euros in a place called Elche. All because a townhall brought cheap palms from Egypt...so they say. As I said anyone who comes up with the reasoning behind the cage work... I'd like to know.
