  1. Hi guys, thank you for your replys much appreciated. It's hard to make a decision when getting such mixed reviews about the viking mower. I've only ever had the hayter 48 and I've used a Harrier 48 I think it was but they are far too heavy for me working on my own. What would you guys recommend for general maintenance? I've heard Honda mowers are very good and reliable but I know nothing about them as I've never used them.
  2. I am a self employed gardener doing private gardens. I currently have a Hayter motif 48, it's been perfect to be fair but I am thinking of investing in a self propelled lawn mower and so far the viking mb 545vm seems to be the one. I need it to be fairly lightweight like the motif 48 (32kg) and this viking model is around that. Are they good enough and reliable for private commercial gardens? Thanks.
  3. I am looking into buying the mb 545vm model for commercial use. Are they reliable?
  4. Thank you for the response. The hayter model is a 4 wheel machine but you can get ones with rollers on. Like I said it's been a fantastic machine and theirs nothing wrong with it but I would like to invest in a self propelled mower built to last
  5. Hi guys, I hope I'm in the right forum I apologise if not. I am a self employed gardener going on 6 years now. I currently have a Hayter motif 48 lawnmower which ive had for 3 years and it's been perfect to be fair, but as I'm getting busier the gardens are getting bigger I am thinking of investing in a self propelled lawn mower. As I buy all of my equipment from stihl, I was thinking of getting a Viking mb 545vm Lawnmower. I understand it's not the top of the range viking mower but as I have to lift it into the back of my van I need something rather lightweight like my motif 48 now which is 32kg, I believe the mb 545vm is around the same weight. Does anybody have this mower for commercial use and are they worth investing in? Thanks for your time.
