It wouldn't surprise me, but try at the spool block end 😉.
Granted if he's already replaced the drive motor it's unlikely to be the pipes, even 30year old ones delaminate on the outside before the inside as it's relatively sealed from the outside elements as it's low oxygen.
Valve block or a failing pump would be my guess, plus check your filters for any swarf.
Are you running standard hydraulic oil and not some veg based stuff ?.
Yeah it's just normal hydraulic oil cheers

Is the control lever which operates the valve block getting full movement? You want to be checking this at the valve block end.
Hi , yes its moving no problem in both directions fairly smoothly

Hi all , I've got a timberwolf 150 vtr year 2010 with 1700 hrs on , right hand side track has become noticeably slower in recent months , so we replaced the track motor drive but seems to be no different, does anyone have any similar experiences as to what it could be ? I'm think possibly the control valve group needs looking at , any help would be greatly appreciated, thank in advance

Where did you get that from ? Paid for mine in November and still waiting
-
I've done the same for 25 years , 4 on 4 off , it's been great over the years but it becomes very hard trying to cram work in as you become busier and busier, although I do tend to pick the nice jobs now and pass on the ivy covered shite with bad attitude nieghbours 😁

Hi , I need to replace the aluminium fan sections on the rotor as one of the fins has snapped off , I've read that this will unbalace the rotor ? Is it an easy job or does anything need balanced or is special gear needed , cheers joe

The 592 looks belting, but I doubt you can beat the crap out of one for 15 years and it still start 2nd or 3rd pull every time!
I wouldn’t run a 592 on red oil though, will defo need semi-synth.
Get the 592, but I’d really try and keep the 660 as well.
£20 offer still stands though mate, I’m a man of my word….
😂 my lad has outbid you at 25 quid, says he wants it to power his mountain bike

They are cracking saws Joe.
Mine is older than yours, and has been the mainstay of my fleet for that long.
£500 seems fair, but I simply wouldn’t sell mine.
I’d keep if I was you.
Just drain it, and one day after a storm whack the 30” bar back on and you’ll make that in a day.
Ran mine on Stihl HP red for years with no issues, runs HP Super now because I switched due to newer auto tune saws, but no problems.
Most reliable saw I’ve ever owned.
Cheers mark , your probably right , just selling to get a 592 when they arrive , cant beat the ting ting ting and smell of a new saw 😂, just fancy a change really .
Aye I've always used red sthil oil , never had any issues in 25 years

If it's not an optic cable they are easy enough to join if you cut them, just a bit fiddly , hardest bit is tensioning the cable back up so try and cut a bit not under tension, easier to join

I was told by the engineer that the fibre cable dont like being clobbered , or if they are bent or creased you'll need a new line putting in
