  4. This is a really useful document. Am I able to add variables in the coding sheet so it shows in the main document? Is there a way to add more space in the main sheet? For example, if I need all 4 bits of traffic management but there are only 2 drop down spaces.
  5. A few feet off the ground on a sycamore and growing along some splitting bark on a horse chesnut.

  7. Sadly not, it was too high up the cavity and too small an access I couldn’t reach it.
  8. I saw a sycamore today (55cm dbh) with a 20cm wide cavity at the base. The cavity is about 25cm deep to the back of the tree and 25cm wide. I took some photos of the inside of the hole and found this. I’ve got some thoughts but would like a second opinion on it. Any thinkers?
  9. Forbes Treecare needs a new member of staff. Part or full time position available. Initially the role will be groundsperson, with the potential to start climbing in the coming months. I am willing to train someone up, so no experience is necessary. Whoever comes must have had a full UK driving license for at least 2 years. We are an enthusiastic team who enjoy the hard work and being in the trees. We work on interesting inner London jobs, with each day being a different challenge. Reply to my message or contact me by phone. Sean Galton Forbes Treecare 07921149118
  10. One of my part time ground staff has left to do his log selling business full time. I’m in need of someone to take his place, part time at first but potentially full time in the coming months as we expand to another truck. Driving license is essential, having had it for 2 years for insurance purposes. Chainsaw experience is preferable but not essential. Climbing experience is a bonus. We are a small business doing domestic tree work. We do lots of interesting jobs and have a large client base around North London. Please contact me if you’re interested or know anyone who is interested. 07921149118 [email protected]
  11. Transit tipper stolen this morning from North London. Sign written with Forbes Treecare front back and sides. Anyone offers you a tipper let me know.
  12. Any ideas what these are? Both on the base of mature bay trees
  13. Thanks guys. Pretty gutted. More info on the log splitter: it has no mudguards and the throttle lever is bent.
  14. My friend's unit in Enfield, North London was broken into some time in the last week. The thieves stole a Venom 22 ton log splitter (orange) and stihl 461 and 261 chainsaws. If anyone hears anything about them or gets offered them please let me know! Thanks
  15. Thanks David. I'll see what I can do.
  16. This is growing on the base of a mature horse chestnut, at the base of a large wound extending 3m up the tree. Can someone tell me what it is? Thanks
  17. Can anyone tell me what this is? Was at the base of a robinia a few weeks ago, gone now.
  18. This is growing at the base of a large ash. Signs of crown die back and plenty of dead wood.
  19. One of the drive belts has snapped on my Jensen530 and I need to replace them both. How do I change the belts and adjust new belts to correct tension?
  20. Thanks. It's only a small clump but it's at the bottom of a long strip of decay on the tree.
  21. This is growing in the soil right at the base of a mature ash. Anyone know what it is?
